Marcos Almeida

Vocalist/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and arranger Marcos Almeida became most widely known as an associate of alt rock-band Palavrantiga. Hailing from Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil, he started his musical profession as an associate of Heloisa Rosa’s support music group, providing support vocals and playing key pad. Almeida and fellow associates of Rosa’s music group went on to create Palavrantiga in 2007. The group documented two studio room albums, 2010’s Esperar é Caminhar and 2012’s Sobre o Mesmo Chão. Together with his use the music group, Almeida also supplied compositions for Lorena Chaves and documented the tune “Vanidad” with Tanlan. Palavrantiga had been honored the Brazilian music prize for Sobre o Mesmo Chão in 2013. The next year, Almeida made a decision to keep the group to go after a solo profession. He began documenting what would become his debut single record in 2015, and European union Sarau, Parte 1 premiered in 2016. That documenting was swiftly accompanied by European union Sarau, Parte 2, that was a departure from your quieter tunes of Parte 1. Almeida explained the collection as “road songs.”
