Given birth to and raised in Philadelphia, Marc Nelson may be the kid of Phyllis Nelson, best-known for the dance strike “I LOVE You.” He was among the first associates of Boyz II Guys while still students at Philadelphia’s renowned SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL of Performing Arts. After obtaining a solo cope with Capitol, Nelson discovered a hit along with his 1991 cover of Marvin Gaye’s “I’D LIKE You,” as well as the follow-up “Depend on Me” also charted.
