Mantler

Although he studied classical piano for a long time, it wasn’t until his later 20s that Chris A. Cummings started documenting his neo- spirit pop beneath the name Mantler. After likely to film college and learning to be a DJ, he became a member of an instrumental music group in 1994, playing electrical piano. After its break up a year afterwards, he went single, first adding two songs on the compilation from Toronto dance label Play. In 2000, Mantler’s first full-length, Doin’ EVERYTHING, premiered on jazz label Le Systeme. 2 yrs later, after shifting to Tomlab, he released Sadisfaction. Landau implemented in summertime 2004. This year 2010, Mantler released the moody and atmospheric Monody. Apart from his recordings, Mantler in addition has been dealing with the Canadia dell’Arte Theater in Toronto since 1998.
