A German power duo that focus on an unholy amalgamation of gnarly, punk-infected doom metallic and punishing dark metal, Mantar may be the brainchild of Hamburg denizens Hanno Klärhardt (guitar, vocals) and Erinç Sakarya (drums). Founded in 2012 by both longtime close friends, the music group cite early Melvins, Darkthrone, and Motörhead as inspirations. Mantar released their debut studio room long player, Loss of life by Burning up, via Svart Information in 2014. They produced the proceed to Nuclear Blast because of their sophomore outing, 2016’s Ode towards the Flame.
