Manolin

Perhaps one of the most successful of Cuba’s little vocalists, Manolin (given birth to Manuel Hernandez) was dubbed “Un Medico De La Salsa (THE PHYSICIAN of Salsa)” by Jose Luis Cortes, the first choice of NG La Banda. Performing a distinctive make of salsa callejera (road music), Manolin continues to be embraced by Cuba’s youngsters. A graduate from the medical research program on the School of Havana, Manolin continues to be singing informally for some of his lifestyle. While touring Mexico using a music group, he made a decision to forsake his programs to become psychiatrist and spend his attentions to music. Using the achievement of his debut record, Em fun??o de Mi Gente, in 1995, it had been evident that he previously made the proper decision. Five music on the record became hits in Cuba with one tune, “La Bola,” staying in the Cuban graphs for 54 weeks. In 1998, De Buena Fe provided another group of radio strikes, broadening his attract other Latin marketplaces. On U.S. radio, he began creating a dent on Latin pop radio, getting him to the eye of American distributers BMG. The business agreed upon him up in 2002, launching Giro Total the next springtime on RCA International.
