Mano Solo

Born for an ecological activist mom (Isabelle Monin) and a left-wing cartoonist dad (Cabu), French vocalist/songwriter Mano Single can be a maverick musician, taking control from the best record businesses and overseeing every part of his music and its own product packaging himself. He started in the punk group Les Chihuahuas when he was 17, but regarded painting as a career once he still left his teenagers. He painted beneath the name Boredom honoring an early on Buzzcocks tune. In his past due twenties he considered music once again, and by age 30 got his debut record when La Marmaille Nue premiered in 1993. A reunion of Les Chihuahuas in 1996 got him from his single profession until a season afterwards, when he came back using the live record Je Sais Pas Trop. Right now he was getting ultimately more involved with the entire package, creating the record covers and managing production. He shortly formed his posting home and released choices of poetry combined with the book Joseph Sous la Pluie. In 2006 he announced he was departing the Warner Bros. label and developing his very own. His following record will be partly financed with the followers, as Solo provided a subscription support that would present exclusive songs and videos.
