Manno Charlemagne has suffered greatly because the Sept 30, 2001, army coup against Haiti’s leader Jean-Bertrand Aristide. Jailed without fees, he was beaten by military and his wife was compelled into concealing. Released on Oct 18th, he happened in military guardianship for weekly. Acquiring refuge at Haiti’s Argentine embassy, he planed to meet up his family members in Guadalupe. Charlemagne’s outspoken lyrics possess got him into difficulty before. Songs like the anthem, “Fini Colonies” (The Colonies Are Completed) led to death dangers. Charlemagne was sentenced to many brief jail phrases in the past due ’70s and he was pressured into exile in 1980. He spent another six years surviving in Canada, NY, Africa, and Paris.
