Maniacs

The Maniacs were among Uk punk’s here-and-gone stories, issuing simply four tracks officially within their year-long life time. Vocalist/guitarist Alan Lee Shaw and drummer Fishing rod Latter actually began being a duo in 1976, within their indigenous Cambridge, but shifted to London when punk broke. Recruiting bassist Robert Crash, the set agreed upon to EMI. The music group performed the punk circuit, including an August 1977 appearance at France’s Mont de Marsan Festival using the Damned as well as the Clash. The frantic “Chelsea 77″/”Ain’t No Tale” implemented in November; the band’s various other two paths (“I Ain’t Gonna End up being Background,” “YOU DO NOT Break My Heart”) made an appearance on Dec 1977’s Live on the Vortex compilation. Shaw dissolved the music group in January 1978 (although he and Last mentioned do a one-off re-formation gig in 1990). Shaw graduated to varied other periods and rings, including an area in another of the Damned’s ever-revolving lineups, while Crash continued to produce brands just like the Eurythmics and Led Zeppelin’s Robert Vegetable. Released Feelings and Overground oversaw reissues from the band’s unreleased result in 1990 and 1997, respectively.
