Manfred Schoof

Manfred Schoof was raised perfecting his innovative jazz design, often practicing about either his jazz trumpet or his flügelhorn. By enough time he reached senior high school, Schoof was composing his personal preparations. In 1955, Schoof made a decision to handbag a musical profession, searching for the Music Academy (Musikakademie) at Kassel. After learning and carrying out there for 3 years, he shifted to help expand his studies in the Cologne Musikhochschule. While there, Schoof got a jazz course by Kurt Edelhagen, a Western German bandleader who also got his personal radio system. Schoof and Edelhagen founded a musical connection, using the pupil adding to the teacher’s Radio Big Music group radio show. At exactly the same time, Schoof started touring with Gunter Hampel. In 1965, Schoof developed a free of charge jazz quintet with Gerd Dudek and Alex Von Schlippenbach. It might be the building blocks for another music group he shaped in 1969, the Manfred Schoof Orchestra. The group toured throughout Germany and European countries, offering Evan Parker and Irène Schweizer, amongst others. In 1969, he became a member of the George Russell Orchestra and remained with the music group until 1971. Through the entire next 2 decades, Schoof extended his musical horizons, documenting and carrying out with several organizations, including Global Unity Orchestra and Jasper Van’t Hof. He also started composing traditional music pieces, frequently composing them for the Berlin Philharmonic.
