At 15, he became an expert and was employed by Rádio Guanabara, another year signing up for the Farolito Danças dance music group. When Humberto Teixeira toured European countries (France, Britain, and Belgium) to divulge the baião in 1961, he was followed by Manezinho. He also participated in the historical samba conferences at Cartola’s club Zicartola in 1963 and 1964. His initial single LP, O Melhor dos Chorinhos, was documented in 1967. Manezinho also participated in the anthological LP Gente da Antiga, as well as Pixinguinha, Clementina de Jesus, and João da Baiana. Another from the essential and historical tasks where he participated was the documenting from the LP Brasil, Flauta, Bandolim e Violão (Marcus Pereira), as an associate of Evandro’s local.
