Man Overboard

New Jersey-based emo-pop players Guy Overboard carry the flame of melodic, energetic, hardcore-influenced Backyard State rings like Life time and Midtown. Founded in 2008 by youth close friends Nik Bruzzese (vocals/bass) and Wayne Wildrick (electric guitar), the set began composing at Bruzzese’s studio room, getting Zac Eiestenstein (vocals/electric guitar) and Justin Mondschein (drums) in to the flip to record debut EP Hung Through to Nothing. Signing to perform for Cover the next year, the music group offered another EP, Dahlia. This year 2010, Guy Overboard terminated on all cylinders, launching the acoustic EP Sound from Upstairs in addition to studio record debut Real Chat along with a self-released live documenting. The music group also encountered lineup adjustments that calendar year — Wildrick still left the music group for personal factors and Justin Collier loaded in on electric guitar duty, making method for brand-new drummer Mike Hrycenko — but returned big by signing up for the Rise Information roster. By springtime 2011, Wildrick rejoined the music group, as they documented a self-titled sophomore record and hit the street over the Pop Punk’s Not really Deceased tour alongside New Present Glory that fall. Increasing the momentum, Guy Overboard, released that Sept, landed over the Billboard 200, Best Hard Rock and roll Albums, and Best Independent Albums graphs. Drummer Joe Talarico changed Mondschein for the group’s third record, Heart Attack, that was released in 2013.
