It’s hard to assume Malik Pendleton, a gifted vocalist and studio participant, was once a convict offering 11 months inside a North Carolina jail for illegal road activities. However, this NJ indigenous got his work collectively and pursued his accurate phoning in music–songwriting. Pendleton can be a four-year songwriting veteran who has recently penned lyrics for R&B performers like 702, Diana Ross, SWV, George Benson and Zhane. His teamwork with R&B diva Mary J. Blige on “A WEEK” on her behalf 1997 CD Talk about My Globe (MCA) gained him a 1999 Tempo & Spirit Music Award through the American Culture Of Composers, Writers, and Web publishers. Stepping from behind the creation boards, Pendleton may be the business lead vocalist on his Atlantic Information’ debut, SHOP AROUND. Pendleton delivers gorgeous vocals and soulful mattresses of R&B. Along with Pendleton, talented music artists like Me’Shell Ndegeocello, Wayne Mtume, Angie Rock and the Origins’ drummer Ahmir Thompson help him generate heartfelt stories of like, heartbreak and despair on his soulful drenching disk.
