Malachi Thompson

A fantastic if underrated trumpeter, Malachi Thompson has played in free of charge configurations and recorded abstract tributes to jazz’s feasible founder, Friend Bolden. Thompson was raised in Chicago. After hearing Count number Basie’s Orchestra at a concert when he was 11, he persuaded his parents to obtain him a trumpet. An exciting player with a solid feeling of jazz’s background, Malachi Thompson offers led recording classes for RA (1972 and 1981) and frequently for Delmark because the mid-’80s.
