Make Believe

Shaped in 2003, Make Believe are another reshuffling of players through the ’90s Chicago emo/indie rock and roll scene (Joan of Arc, Cap’n Jazz, Owls, Spirits and Vodka, etc.), this time around offering guitarist Sam Zurick, bassist Bobby Burg, and cousins Nate Kinsella on drums and Tim Kinsella on vocals. The experimental indie punk noises of Make Believe 1st appeared in springtime 2004 on the five-song self-titled EP released through Flameshovel. The band’s chaotic however exhilarating musical existence was well-received, as well as the quartet adopted up that fall using the Pink 7″.
