The Maines Brothers Music group began recording in the mid-’70s. Their lineup included acoustic guitarist/vocalist Steve Maines; Lloyd Maines on metal guitar, lead acoustic guitar and Hawaiian acoustic guitar; guitarist/harmonica participant Kenny Maines; drummer Donnie Maines (changed in 1987 by Tag Gillespie); fiddler/trumpeter/mandolin participant Richard Bowden; bass guitarist Jerry Brownlow; and Cary Banking institutions on keyboards and acoustic guitar. The initial Maines Brothers Music group hailed from Western Texas and presented the group’s dad and uncles; younger males in the beginning performed as the tiny Maines Brothers Band.
