Maestro Fresh Wes began composing his own poetry and raps while still in elementary college in Toronto. He examined under such brands as Grandmaster Display, Spoonie G. and Kurtis Blow, and produced the Vision Staff with Ebony MC (aka Marlon Bruce). Following the duo split in 1987, Clean Wes recorded many demos and agreed upon with unbiased LMR Information. His first record, Symphony in place (1990), was accompanied by Dark Link Affair (1991) and Naaah, Dis Child CAN NOT BE from Canada?!! (1994)
