Mae Bad Guy emerged from Thailand to be the first girl to issue an archive in the German techno label Pharma. Entitled Doping for Poultry, the 12″ discharge highlighted house-influenced techno music with rap-style lyrics. Following the preliminary success of this album, Mae Poor Boy came back to Thailand, where she fulfilled Pharma’s famed manufacturer and musician Roger Kerosene, who was simply travelling there. After attempting for quite a while in Thailand, she made a decision to relocate to Hong Kong, where she fulfilled Chinese movie director Lo Min Yun, who employed her to record a soundtrack for his upcoming film, Szechuan Valley, established to end up being released in the summertime of 1999. That soundtrack was made by Kerosene. His impact helped Mae Poor Boy to build a more mixed audio, incorporating jazz and atmospheric noises along with her even more club-friendly music. That soundtrack became her second record and premiered on Pharma within the fall of 1999.
