Mady Kouyate

Mady Kouyate was created in Dakar, Senegal, a descendent from the Kouyate category of Dialolu, griots and dental historians of Manding traditional lore for years and years. Kouyate started his role with this long type of music artists at age 16, when he started playing the kora, a 21-string Western African harp. Relocating to Bamako, Mali, he analyzed beneath the virtuoso, Toumani Diabate, aswell as going to classes in music theory in the Country wide Institute from the Arts in Bamako. Kouyate started playing kora expertly at 19, carrying out with Diabate and additional performers in the griot custom throughout Western Africa, pursuing that up with a 15-condition USA tour in 2000, using the Ballet Afrique Noire. His 1st album, Kelemagni, premiered in 2004.
