Madrugada had recently been taking part in together for five years prior to the release of the debut EP in 1998. Getting started in the tiny city of Stokmarknes within the north of Norway, they started beneath the name Abbey’s Adoption in 1993, and made a decision to proceed to Oslo in 1995 to focus on their music. Their discovery came with the brand new Depression EP within the springtime of 1999. It reached the high end from the singles graphs and gained large rotation on Norwegian radio. Their debut record, Industrial Silence, premiered in nov 1999. It became successful, selling increasingly more information as their group of fans continued to develop due to their relentless touring. Hardly ever restricting themselves to just touring in Norway and Scandinavia, they truly became a live appeal throughout European countries, playing popular night clubs in such metropolitan areas as Berlin and Paris. This produced them the Norwegian music group with the most powerful following beyond Norway for a long time. In Feb 2001 they came back with the improbable number one one “Hands up, I REALLY LIKE You” and second record, The Nightly Disease. This is a very much darker and much less available record than their debut; still, it outsold Industrial Silence in Norway within weeks.
