Maddalena Casulana

An Italian composer and singer who, in several occassion, had works focused on her due to her renown (e.g. Molino and Monte). She often appeared to demonstrate her appreciation to customers by dedicating physiques of compositions to them (Bevilacqua, Montanaro, and Pesaro). She was the author of madrigals that are extant in three amounts. The initial two amounts were have scored for four voices and the 3rd volume was organized for five voices.
