Inspirations of ’60s lounge pop, vintage Jamaican ska, as well as the Tick toon series led to the 1996 development of Edmonton’s Mad Bomber Culture. Consisting of Wealthy Bomber (acoustic guitar, vocals), Kookie Bomber (body organ, vocals), Jay Bomber (drums, vocals), Blair Bomber (alto sax), Mike Bomber (trumpet), Corinne Bomber (trombone), and Easy Bomber (bass), Mad Bomber Culture have spent the majority of their period playing their nostalgic two-tone ska throughout Traditional western Canada. Their debut recording A-tom-ic A-Go-Go captured this audio and was ultimately self-released in 2001.
