Mach Five is a fresh York-based guitar-pop quartet led by vocalist/guitarist Jeff Darien. The music group formed within the springtime of 1995, and on the following year, they performed constantly throughout Manhattan. In 1996, they released a seven-inch one, “Sunday’s Right here”/”IMPRESSED,” on Wagon Teach. Although the one was limited by 1,000 copies, it gained good person to person, finding a positive review in Billboard and spins on many college stations over the U.S. Quickly afterward, the positive hype as well as the band’s demonstration resulted in a bidding battle, and the music group signed with Isle in 1997. Mach Five documented their first record with Steven Haigler at Ardent Studios in Memphis, Tennessee. The ensuing record, Mach Five, premiered in March of 1998.
