Dani Darbonell, ex-Magia Pet, Dr. No, and Ojos de Brujo Macaco became a member of La Hermandad Chirusa, a music group created by talented music artists from Argentina, Colombia, Brazil, and Spain, to create his first single record. Playing an assortment of rap, rhumba, pop, funk, and reggae, Macaco’s Un Mono en un Ojo del Tigre premiered by Edel in 1999, having a track known as “Veraveraboom,” that was later on remixed by David Byrne. In the next decade, Macaco continuing to utilize countless musicians to generate music that joined the realms of reggae, rap, electronica, and globe music on albums Rumbo Submarino (2001), Entre Raíces con Antenas (2004), Ingravitto (2006), Puerto Presente (2009), as well as the greatest-hits collection Un Vecindario (2010).
