Mac Arnold

Southpaw bassist and SC native Mac pc Arnold was just ten years aged when he and his sibling built a acoustic guitar from a gas may, a couple pieces of wood, a small number of nails, plus some display wire. Things simply got better following that. Arnold performed in J. Floyd & the Shamrocks (who regularly featured a James Dark brown on piano) while still in senior high school, and officially started his professional profession when he became a member of Charles Miller’s music group in the first ’60s. He relocated to Chicago around 1965 and started gigging with saxophonist A.C. Reed before starting up with Muddy Waters and his music group in 1966. The Waters stint resulted in a fair quantity of studio room function, and Arnold performed bass on many 1960s blues albums, including Otis Spann’s The Blues Is usually Where It’s At and John Lee Hooker’s Live at Cafe Au Proceed Proceed. In 1967 Arnold created the Spirit Invaders, who worked well like a support device for B.B. Ruler as well as the Temptations, amongst others. Arnold relocated to L.A. in the first ’70s, where in fact the program work continuing (that’s Arnold playing bass around the Quincy Jones-produced Sanford and Child theme track), and from 1971 to 1975 he was area of the arranged music group for the Spirit Train tv program.
