Lys Assia

The winner from the inaugural Eurovision Melody Competition in 1956, Swiss-born vocalist Lys Assia was created March 3, 1926, in Rupperswil, Switzerland. She originally proved helpful being a dancer but, in a present in 1940, she was asked to stand set for a lacking singer.
