Lynwood Slim

Lynwood Slim thought there have been only a couple of things he could carry out to produce a living: take pool or play harmonica. Thank heavens he thought we would be considered a musician. As a kid he performed trumpet, but at 15 he found the harmonica. Although attracted to hearing Jimmy Reed and Small Walter, he produced the profession choice after viewing Brooklyn Slender and Paul Oscher. His early unforgettable gigs allowed him to sit down along with Eddie “Cleanhead” Vinson among others. Once the southern California picture dried up within the middle-’70s, he loaded up and transferred to Minneapolis. Under a week after getting into city, Slim changed a band’s prior harp participant, Kim Wilson, who still left for Austin to create the Fantastic Thunderbirds with Jimmy Vaughan. Ultimately, he produced the Lynwood Slim Music group, working frequently with Leonard “Baby Doo” Caston, Adam Smith and Walter Horton. His design of golf swing blues gained him numerous honours bestowed with the Minnesota Music Academy, and he noted musical triumphs with Shed in the us, released in 1990; and Spirit Foot, released in 1991 and reissued five years afterwards. Slim briefly came back to LA, where became a member of Dave Specter and transferred to Chicago in 1995. Many years afterwards, family circumstances as well as the reblossoming from the southern California picture returned Slim house. Besides his existence gracing the live L.A. picture, Slim and manufacturer Jerry Hall possess produced Western european and American performers over time. In 1998, they create their very own record label, Pacific Blue Documenting Company; GLOBALLY Wood implemented in 2000.
