Followers from the British operatic scene have got known the name and performing of Lynne Dawson because the 1980s. Her renown became almost general in 1997 when she performed on the funeral of Britain’s Princess Diana, and since that time she’s projected the superstar quality essential to propel her profession forward. Her house was the wealthy farming nation of Yorkshire in North Britain, where she was created in 1958 within a hospital close to the historical York Minster cathedral. She sings the Bach B minimal Mass, Mozart’s C main Mass and Requiem, Beethoven’s Ninth. Further afield, she’s also performed Mahler’s Second, Brahms’ Requiem, Ravel’s Shéhérazade, Britten’s Les illuminations, and music of Othmar Schoeck. She’s appeared over the main concert, celebration, and operatic levels of European countries (including multiple performances in the favorite BBC Henry Woods Proms concerts) with Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires. In 1997 she was asked to sing on the funeral of Diana, Princess of Wales, a wedding ceremony telecast for an market of billions; she performed area of the Libera Me from Verdi’s Requiem. Dawson shows up on over 60 compact disk produces, including four from the extremely acclaimed full Schubert music series on Hyperion as well as the award-winning SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA Symphony documenting of Orff’s Carmina Burana under conductor Herbert Blomstedt. She lives in Britain with her spouse, Simon Jones.
