After departing the seminal NY simply no wave outfit Teenage Jesus as well as the Jerks, poet/actress/vocalist Lydia Lunch time (b. Lydia Koch) embarked on a single profession marked by regular collaborations and music group adjustments, plus an attitude of confrontational nihilism portrayed both in her audio and her frequently violent and/or sexually focused subject material. It had been accompanied by the limited-edition problem of Amnesia by Contemporanea in ’09 2009. She also documented Big Sexy Sound within a trio with Gallon Drunk’s Adam Johnston and Ian Light that year; it had been released by Cherry Crimson and accompanied by a Western european and Australian tour. Twist of Destiny, a live cooperation with sound musician Philippe Petit from a concert in Berlin, premiered this year 2010 and in addition highlighted a film from the present. Lunchtime continued to execute at museums and theaters internationally in addition to taking photographs, which were exhibited globally. The entire year 2013 became prolific for Lunchtime. Her live music group offering Retro Pathogen (her support trio included guitarist Weasel Walter, drummer Bob Bert, and bassist Algis Kyzis) was released by Interbang, and accompanied by a dual record with Petit entitled Flavor Our Voodoo and an experimental trio arranged entitled Medusa’s Bed with Zahra Mani and Mia Zabelka. In November, Lunch time performed a fresh work, Dirt & Shadows, in cooperation with videographer Elise Passavant within the Louisville Museum’s 21st hundred years exhibition Aftermath: Witnessing Battle, Countenancing Compassion. In June of 2014, Lunch time and guitarist Cypress Grove shipped a couple of gothic Americana like songs known as A Fistful of Desert Blues. The set reteamed for any split recording with doomy Western folk outfit Religious Front around the recording Twin Horses, that was released in early 2015. Lunch time released two albums in 2016. My Enthusiast the Killer was a cooperation with French musician Marc Hurtado, released from the Spanish indie label Munster Information, and Brutal Steps was a live-in-the-studio work with Lunch time associated with Weasel Walter on drums and consumer electronics; it had been released via Lunch’s personal Widowspeak label.
