For most of its many contributions to America’s alternative and college rock and roll actions, Madison, WI, hasn’t exactly been a historical breeding surface for rock — until Luna Mortis, for just one, saw in good shape to buck that trend. Initial set up circa 2006 beneath the short-lived moniker from the Ottoman Empire, Luna Mortis searched for to create their very own sound from affects as different as Megadeth, Nevermore, Wish Theater, and Kids of Bodom, leading to their self-financed debut record, Method of the Cutter, released afterwards that season. A 2007 EP called The Reply: WILL NOT Exist was made by Jason Suecof (Trivium, Chimaira, etc.), and helped obtain Luna Mortis authorized to Century Press, leading to the discharge of their following full-length, The Lack, in Feb 2009. The band’s lineup at the moment contains vocalist Mary Zimmer, business lead guitarist and vocalist Brian Koenig, tempo guitarist Cory Scheider, bassist Jake Bare, and drummer Erik Madsen.
