Luke Kuplowsky is a Canadian vocalist, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist who all releases solo materials beneath the mononym LUKA. He initial produced a name for himself in the music picture in his hometown of Toronto as co-founder from the indie rock-band Broken Bricks with another multi-instrumentalist, Marlon Chaplin. They released their debut LP Pasquale in ’09 2009. With drummer Matthew Duncan signing up for the lineup, the sophomore Broken Bricks record Little Fugitives implemented in 2011. Several singles in the band made an appearance in 2012 before Kuplowsky centered on planning an record of sparer, even more intimate solo materials. Having the moniker LUKA, Contacting All Black Felines premiered by Fat Unwanted fat Seems in 2013. Recalling titles like Kevin Morby and Mac pc DeMarco, another recording of subtly sardonic vocalist/songwriter fare, Summon Up a Monkey Ruler, found its way to 2016, this time around on Yellowish K Records.
