Among Equipment’s first Broadway performances was the musical Appreciate O’ Mike (1917), reserve by Thomas Sydney, music by Jerome Kern, lyrics by Harry B. Smith. She is at a humor, The Silver Diggers (1919), and a farce, A Bachelor Evening (1921), before showing up inElsie on the Vanderbilt Theater (1923). Although this present closed after just 40 shows it acquired interesting credits: reserve by Charles W. Bell, music and lyrics by Noble Sissle, Eubie Blake, Monte Carlo and Alma M. Sanders. Equipment then proceeded to go into Poppy, starring W.C. Areas, reserve and lyrics by Dorothy Donnelly, music by Stephen Jones and Arthur Samuels. Up coming came Queen Great (1926), reserve by Laurence Schwab and Pal De Sylva, music by Lewis E. Gensler with lyrics by De Sylva, plus extra songs by Adam Hanley. Gear implemented this using a flop musical, The Optimists (1928) and hardly any more effective was Ups-A Daisy (1928), with reserve and lyrics by Clifford Gray and Robert A. Simon, music by Gensler. Popular implemented for Gear when she made an appearance in Homosexual Divorce (1932), starring Fred Astaire and Claire Luce and which went for 248 shows. In 1939 she is at Roads Of Paris, which acquired a 274-efficiency run in the Broadhurst Theater. With music by Jimmy McHugh, lyrics by Al Dubin, with Harold Rome, and vocal preparations by Hugh Martin, the display presented Abbott And Costello, Bobby Clark, Carmen Miranda and Gower Champ. In the 40s Equipment is at the stressed musical Crazy With HEAT (1941), which opened up and shut in four times, then reopened fourteen days later having a different maker, Ed Sullivan, and then close once again after a complete of 92 shows. Then arrived a play, Pie In The Sky (1942), as well as the musicals, Count number Me In (1942) and My Love (1948). The second option got music by Sigmund Romberg, publication and lyrics by Rowland Leigh, with Gear performing ‘Small Emmaline’. The next decade discovered Gear mainly in nonmusical productions, including TO BECOME Continuing (1952), Sabrina Good (1953) and Four Winds (1957).
