Lucy, the pseudonym of Italian maker, DJ, and label owner Luca Mortellaro, is becoming synonymous using the explosion from the late-noughties Berlin techno picture. Created in Palermo, Italy, Mortellaro was raised hearing old-school hip-hop and jungle, with age 18, a desire for percussion, drumming, and tempo drew him to Siena, Italy to review. In early 2013, Mortellaro announced that he’d discharge the collaborative EP, Background Survivors, with American manufacturer Silent Servant on Mote-Evolver.
