This NYC-based quintet tours the club circuit, filling the dance floors making use of their rocking mixture of Cajun, zydeco, blues and rock & roll. Relying mainly within the songwriting skills of the two performers, ex-Mink DeVille key pad/accordion participant Kenny Margolis and ex-Rockats guitarist Barry “BB” Ryan, Lucky 7 also have included a few covers on the produces, notably Dylan’s “Night time After Night time” and Canned Heat’s “Increasing the united states” (both on Feed the Snake). “Bandito” from that same launch features ex-Mink DeVille percussionist “Bayou” Boris Kinberg with an instrumental similar to Ennio Morricone’s spaghetti-western styles for Sergio Leone movies.
