Love Me

This Australian duo, built around a creative core of Tom Kristensen (guitar) and Madeleine King (vocals), formed in 1995 after both partners had experienced varying examples of success in other bands. As Kristensen informed the press, ‘We had been sitting inside our lounge playing tunes together whenever a friend recommended we should obtain out and perform them in public areas.’ Composing principally inside a melodic nation blues vein, the group signed to MDS Information. Furthermore to Kristensen and Ruler, the group features three additional users, with each participant playing at least three different tools. It has helped lend Kristensen’s tunes a sharp, eclectic audio quite unlike anything within their genre. Their self-titled debut recording, made by You Am I guitarist Tim Rogers, was voted recording of the entire year by many Australian origins music critics.
