Neo-art-rockers Love backwards formed in Whiting, NJ through the late 1980s; in the beginning named Doggie, the group was originally a home-recording task for singer/guitarist Michael Ferentino and bassist/keyboardist Andres Karu. The duo battled through the entire early years of their presence, getting countless rejection words for their demonstration tape submissions; still, they continued to be highly prolific, saving some 30 albums worthy of of original materials before finally putting your signature on to Reprise, issuing the EP I USED TO BE a puppy in 1996. The full-length I USED TO BE Here made an appearance the same season, and in 1998 Like backwards resurfaced with Phrases Become Worms.
