Louise Bennett

Louise Bennett, also sometimes known popularly in her local Jamaica while “Miss Lou,” or even more formally while the Honorable Louise Simone Bennett-Coverly, is among the most beloved folkorists, writers, and performers ever to result from Jamaica. Created in 1919, she was informed in the Ebenezer and Calabar Elementary Universities, St. Simon’s University, Excelsior University, and Friends University (Highgate).
