Louis Stewart

b. 5 January 1944, Waterford, Eire. After playing electric guitar within a succession of Dublin-based showbands, Stewart started playing jazz in the first 60s. By the finish of the 10 years he had attained a substantial popularity by dealing with such leading jazzmen as Tubby Hayes and Benny Goodman. Through the entire 70s he continuing to improve his position in both UK and the united states, playing and documenting with Ronnie Scott, Don Burrows, George Shearing, Peter Ind yet others. He also toured European countries, attracting considerable interest everywhere he performed. In the 80s and 90s his popularity grew apace, despite his choice for spending a considerable section of his amount of time in his homeland, and he produced well-received albums with Martin Taylor, Brian Dunning, and Spike Robinson. He provides composed several pieces predicated on the task of Adam Joyce, many of which made an appearance for the albums Milesian Supply and Joycenotes. An excellent audio allied to a crystal-clear shade has helped to create Stewart among the excellent guitarists in jazz. A virtuoso technique enables him to understand fully his unlimited inventiveness. In 1998, Stewart received an Honory Doctorate by Trinity University, Dublin.
