Lothlorien

Lothlorien was formed in early 1996 by group associates Nicole Leonard (whistles/keyboards/Celtic harp/violin/ mandolin/bodhran), Chris Lloyd (electric guitar/bouzouki/mandola/vocals), and Tamzin Hardwood (vocals/bodhran/whistles). Since that time, they have performed regularly at several Auckland, NZ, folk night clubs, with guest performances at Titirangi, Tir na N’og, Devonport, East Coastline, and Troubadour, aswell as private occasions. 1997 noticed Lothlorien and asked guests playing to complete homes at their concert series in Auckland’s Pumphouse Theater. The occasions were entitled Celtic Voices. The next January, Lothlorien performed on the Auckland Folk Festival, playing the ultimate bracket from the Welcome Concert, within their initial “public” appearance there. Afterwards, in June, they kept another concert on the Pumphouse, offering out once more. Lopdell House shows implemented in Sept. Lothlorien also guested on the Wellington Folk Celebration in Oct 1998. They returned towards the Pumphouse just as before in November. In 1999, Lothlorien participated in the Auckland Folk Celebration Invitation Concert, at performed at Tir na N’og once again in August, and came back towards the Katikati Folk Membership in November, to an extremely enthusiastic market.
