Los Pinguos

Los Angeles-based (by method of Buenos Aries) collective Los Pinguos blend the rhythms of the Argentinean homeland with flamenco-style acoustic guitar and Beatlesque pop chops. Created in 1999 round the skills of Adrián Buono, José Agote, Juan Manzur, and Juan Manuel Leguizamón to try out local celebrations and pubs, the group progressed into a local trend. In 2001 they relocated towards the “Town of Angels” where they got an end-of-season party gig for the Fox tv program Dharma & Greg. Large gigging and insider publicity brought these to the eye of producers from your Celebrity Search spinoff ANOTHER Big Star, that they ended up earning. Bass participant Santiago Lee was put into the blend that same 12 months, and the recently minted quintet inked a cope with Peermusic. They will have since released four albums, including Camino Bueno, Serenata, Reside in LA, and 2006’s Peripecias.
