Los K’Jarkas

Los Kjarkas is among the most influential rings within the Andes Mountians area. Furthermore to documenting twenty-three albums over three years, the Bolivia-based group provides played a significant role within the advancement of educational centers for education in Andean folk music. In 1993, they founded the “Musical College of Kjarkas” in Lima, Peru. The next calendar year, they founded an identical college, “La Fundacion Kjarkas” in Ecuador. The mainstay of Kjarkas continues to be songwriter, guitarist and vocalist Gonzalo Hermosa Gonzalez, who shaped the band along with his brothers Elmer (business lead vocals) and Ulises, Gaston Guardia Bilboa (blowing wind tools, vocals) and Ramino De La Serna. Soon after De La Serna remaining the group, in 1992, Ulises Hermosa Gonzalez succumbed to tumor. By 1999, the music group presented Gonzalo and Elmer Hermosa Gonzalez, Gaston Guardia Bilboa, Eduardo Yanez Loayza (acoustic guitar, vocals), Jose Luis Morales Rodriguez (charango, vocals) and Rolando Malpartida Porcel (percussion, strings and vocals). After operating their method around Bolivia, L’Kjarkas performed in Brazil in 1975 as reps of the homeland within the 1st Folklore and Dance Event. Within the one fourth of a hundred years since, the group offers performed in SOUTH USA, america, European countries, Japan and Scandanavia. In 1987, Kjarkas was asked to compete within the tenth event of Globe Popular Music in Tokyo.
