Los Guarros

After el Corte disbanded in 1988, singer/songwriter Javier Calamaro made a decision to create a fresh project called los Guarros, playing along with guitarist Daniel Herrera. After launching 1989’s Prostitución con Vagancia, the Latin rock and roll work was voted Revelation of the entire year. In 1990 los Guarros released Rosas en Tu Pecho, accompanied by a self-titled record in 1992. That same season, the band opened up for Joe Cocker at Buenos Aires’ Velez Sarsfield stadium. Veneno was documented in 1993 and Acústico con Stone in 1994. After a short-term break up, los Guarros came back in 1997 with Pampas Lisérgicas.
