Los Evangelistas

The untimely death of flamenco revolutionary Enrique Morente this year 2010 predictably opened the floodgates for all sorts of releases and tributes. Los Evangelistas could very well be the most unstable and interesting: an indie rock and roll supergroup created by los Planetas’ Jota, Florent, and Eric, and Lagartija Nick’s vocalist Antonio Arias, whose music group experienced famously participated in Morente’s groundbreaking Omega (1996). Los Evangelistas’ Homenaje a Enrique Morente, released in 2012, dazed critics using its unexpected yet absolutely interesting fusion of flamenco and avant-garde rock and roll. The clothing announced another album for the finish of the entire year, once again offering Morente’s daughter Singleá like a guest vocalist.
