Los Dudes

Produced in 1965 in Montreal, Canada, the Dudes had been a short-lived ‘supergroup’ led by expatriate San Franciscan, Bob Segarini (vocals/guitar). Segarini have been an associate of several appealing Californian groupings, including Family members Tree, Roxy as well as the Wackers. The Wackers’ make of interesting power pop was specifically well-known in Canada as well as the group transferred there in 1973. They split in 1974 when Elektra Information rejected their 4th album. Previous Wackers Costs ‘Kootch’ Trochim (bass) and Wayne Cullen (drums) became a member of Segarini within the Dudes, that was finished by Brian Greenaway (ex-Mashmakan), David Henman and Richie Henman (both ex-April Wines). Unfortunately, We’re No Angels was a proclaimed disappointment. It provided the melodic make of rock and roll Segarini was renowned for, but a polished creation robbed the tunes of dynamics and an air flow of anonymity bedevilled its content material. The Dudes split within weeks of its launch, and Segarini embarked on a single career.
