Lord Beginner

Lord Newbie (given birth to Egbert Moore) helped to spark a renaissance for calypso music within the 1940s and ’50s. After getting attention along with his soulful performing in Trinidad and Tobago, Lord Newbie was delivered by expatriate Portuguese businessman Edward Sa Gomes to NY, alongside Attila The Hun and Growling Tiger, to record for the Port-Of-Spain label in-may 1934. These recordings helped to present calypso to a lot of the planet. Emigrating to Britain with Lord Kitchener in July 1948, Lord Newbie documented for the Parlophone label 2 yrs later.
