The humble beginnings of Tallahassee indie rock outfit Look Mexico could be traced to some chance meeting between Matt Agrella (vocals/guitar) and Dave Bumsted (guitar) in a Sea and Cake show held at Florida State University. They began writing tracks, and in early 2004 made a decision to really get yourself a band ready to go together. Looking for people to circular them out, they ultimately installed with drummer Josh Mikel; Appear Mexico booked their initial show in Oct 2004 (using Karate, believe it or not), despite the fact that they had however to discover a bassist.
