THE TINY Roy and Lizzy Present certainly are a bluegrass-gospel troupe led by Dove Award-winning multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Elizabeth Long and veteran picker/all-around entertainer Small Roy Lewis. Structured out of Lincolnton, Georgia, which also acts as the house for the Lewis Family members, who tend to be known as the “first category of bluegrass gospel,” the duo cites Earl Scruggs, Marty Stuart, Patty Loveless, Merle Haggard, George Jones, John Hartford, and Macintosh Wiseman as affects. Long started honing her musical chops at an extremely young age, and it is efficient on fiddle, acoustic guitar, autoharp, bass, banjo, and mandolin. She teamed up with Lewis in ’09 2009 for the recording Breaking Like Dawn, and once again this year 2010 for Right from the Center of Dixie. The group, which also contains the skills of Nathan Stewart, Haley Stiltner, Tyler Biddix, and Bennett Boswell, released Lord each day in 2012, accompanied by Great Time, Down House in 2016, and Heading House in 2017. Long released a solo recording, Blueberry Pie, in 2015 that peaked at number 2 for the Billboard bluegrass graph.
