Little Parts represent the relationship of singer/guitarist Herman Jolly, frontman from the music group Sunset Valley, using the rhythm portion of bassist Offer Badger and drummer Rob Lloyd. Badger and Lloyd are both Illinois natives and fulfilled on the School of Illinois in Champaign, where they performed together within a music group known as Bantha. After a stint in Chicago, they relocated to Seattle, playing being a duo known as Guitar Defamation Group. They also supported Chris Mills, a labelmate of Sunset Valley, which led them to come across Jolly. In 2006, Jolly, who acquired transferred to Seattle from Montana, required a backup music group to try out gigs to get his third single album, Bunker Lifestyle, and approached Badger and Lloyd.
