Little Johnny Christian

b. 19 August c.30s, Mississippi, USA, d. c.1993. Christian sang within a cathedral choir as a young child, and continued performing gospel music after shifting to Chicago in 1951, functioning and recording using the Highway QCs from 1957-61. In the 60s he proved helpful being a bass participant with Otis Hurry, Elmore James among others, before signing up for Jimmy Dawkins as bass participant and vocalist. He produced his own music group in the 70s functioning exclusively being a vocalist, and recorded many singles in the 80s. Famous for his soulful vocals, Christian produced his debut record for the Chicago-based Big Guy label by the end of the 10 years.
