This R&B vocal group originated from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. The group was produced in 1956 by Joe Make (b. 29 Dec 1922, Philadelphia, Pa, USA), who acquired produced his first record in 1949 as lead of the gospel group, the Joe Make Quartet. While documenting as an associate of a afterwards gospel group, the Evening Superstar Quartet, Make produced the Thrillers, which besides Make comprised Farris Hill (tenor), Richard Frazier (tenor), Donald Burnett (baritone) and Harry Pascle (bass). Their only claim to popularity was ‘Peanuts’, which got into the US Best 30 in 1957 for the OKeh label. Make’s piercing falsetto business lead became the typical for most R&B doo-wop organizations from the past due 50s through the 70s. The 1st release from the group was a dance quantity known as ‘The Slop’, which accomplished some regional east coast reputation in 1956. The Thrillers under no circumstances hit the graphs after ‘Peanuts’ plus they broke up, Small Joe continued documenting up to 1966 on different small Philadelphia brands.
