Alt-country combo Small Grizzly began in 1989 because the single alias of Denton, TX-based singer/songwriter George Neal, who within the years to check out proceeded to create a devoted cult following in the effectiveness of his regular performances at an area pizza parlor. In 1996 Will Johnson from the Denton indie-rock music group Centro-matic wanted to record Neal’s music to four-track, producing a self-released cassette and a one, “Spelunker”; immediately after Small Grizzly became a genuine music group with the improvements of bassist Jon Turner and drummer Colin Carter, and in nov 1997, the trio came back to the studio room to record the materials issued 2 yrs later as Make sure you Let Me Proceed, It Wasn’t Designed to Be. Within the interim Turner was changed by bassist Jacob Barnhardt.
